Wholehearted Yoga supports the Redwood City Park & Arts Foundation

During the autumn of 2024, our yoga community raised $1,050 for Redwood City Park & Arts Foundation to fund the programs at the Magical Bridge playground - a warm and welcoming environment where everyone is encouraged to play.

Wholehearted Yoga supports Second Harvest in providing healthy food to the community

During the summer of 2024, our yoga community raised $1,600 for Second Harvest of Silicon Valley which provides healthy food to over 500,000 people every month.

Wholehearted Yoga supports One Life  who provides counseling for anyone who needs it

During the summer of 2024, our yoga community raised $1,800 for One Life. One Life Counseling Center  aims to inspire, educate, and provide accessible counseling for anyone who needs it.

Wholehearted Yoga supports CORA as they work to break the cycle of domestic violence

During the spring of 2024, our yoga community raised $1,800 for CORA. CORA provides counseling, emergency housing, legal assistance and more to provide safety, support and healing for individuals who experience abuse in an intimate relationship and educates the community to break the cycle of domestic violence.

Wholehearted Yoga supports interim housing in our community through LifeMoves

During the winter of 2024, we supported LifeMoves and the Navigation Center they created in Redwood City.   Our yoga community raised $1,300 to to support their efforts.  Some of us participated in a tour of the innovative facility.  They are doing great work.

Wholehearted Yoga supports education through Sequoia High School Dream Club

During the winter of 2024, we supported the Sequoia High School Dream Club both with yoga donations and by helping to sew their fabulous quilt.    Our yoga community raised $2,000 to provide educational scholarships to undocumented youth who wish to pursue higher education.

Wholehearted Yoga brings joy to Teenage Foster Kids in San Mateo County

 

During the fall of 2023, our yoga community once again partnered with the Children's Fund of San Mateo County to raise money to provide teenagers in foster care with Target gift cards..  Our yoga community raised over $2,500!  We didn't just give money - we gave joy!

Wholehearted Yoga supports Vida Verde!

 

During the summer/fall of 2023, we raised $1,700 for Vida Verde.  Vida Verde makes outdoor education accessible to kids that otherwise would not have the opportunity.  Learn more about Vida Verde.

Wholehearted Yoga supports the Redwood City Park & Arts Foundation

 

During the summer of 2023, we raised $1,500 for the Redwood City Park & Arts Foundation for the work they are doing to support our whole community!  In particular, the Magical Playground is a wonderful place for all ages.  

Wholehearted Yoga boosts Upward Scholars

 

During the spring of 2023, we raised $1,200 for Upward Scholars!  Upward Scholars provides adult immigrants the boost they need to move up the economic ladder through education and career development support.   Learn more about Upward Scholars here.

Wholehearted Yoga supports our local libraries

 

During the spring of 2023, we provided $500 for the Redwood City Library Foundation to help the libraries to cultivate literacy, life-long learning, and community connections..

Wholehearted Yoga helps Healthy Cities Tutoring

 

During the spring of 2023, we raised over $1,200 for Healthy Cities Tutoring whose mentors and tutors  serve struggling young students in Redwood City and San Carlos.  Learn more about Healthy Cities Tutoring here.

Wholehearted Yoga Benefits The Grateful Garment Project

 

During the winter of 2023, we raised $1,300 for The Grateful Garment Project which helps to restore dignity to victims of sexual violence.  Learn more about their courageous work here.

In the Fall of 2022, our Yoga community raised over $500 for the Redwood City Park & Arts Foundation.  We also hosted a free class for the community in the Magical Bridge playground in Red Morton Park.

Wholehearted Yoga supports Downtown Streets in Redwood City

 

In the summer of 2022, our Yoga community raised over $2,000 for Downtown Streets, an organization that restores dignity, inspires hope, and provides a pathway to recover from homelessness.  They provide access to case management, system navigation, and employment placement services.  Teams engage in community beautification and clean-up projects that help challenge common negative perceptions of homelessness.

Yoga in the Bungalow helps World Central Kitchen feed Ukrainian Refugees

 

In March & April 2022, our Yoga In the Bungalow community raised $2,000 for World Central Kitchen which is providing thousands of meals daily for Ukrainian refugees.

Yoga in the Bungalow helps toddlers get to sleep

In Winter 2022, our Yoga In the Bungalow community raised over $800 for Peninsula Family Services to provide toddlers with a book, stuffed animal and a blanket to soothe them into a good night's rest.

During the 2021 holidays, our Yoga In the Bungalow community raised $825 for teenagers in foster care..  Along with the Redwood City Woman's Club, we raised almost $7000 in Target gift cards.  We even made the newsMore.....

Yoga in the Park Benefit for the Park & Arts Foundation

 

Our Yoga In the Park community raised $1000 in the summer of 2021 for the Redwood City Park & Arts Foundation with a focus on funding the amazing mosaic in the Magical Bridge Playground in Red Morton Park.  Many of us also volunteered in creating this work of art under the tremendous leadership of Elizabeth Gomez..  Check out a section of the mosaic in the video below or better yet - go see it in the park!
